Description
A heavily peated whisky from the Benriach distillery. This is at higher than average strength, the result is at once smoky and very fruity. Nose is sweet and smokey with vanilla and green apples. Aroma of sweet peat, vanilla, salted meat, green apples, citrus and charred oak. Long finish with more vanilla, liquorice and grapefruit.
Located in the Heart of Speyside, just south of Elgin, this distillery is now owned by Brown-Forman who are one of the largest spirit producers in the world and have the likes of Jack Daniels and GlenDronach in their portfolio of distillery ownership. The casks maturing at BenRiach contain the highest quality whisky, which have taken the industry experts by surprise due to their complexity and subtlety.
