In May 1836 Glenfarclas Distillery was officially licenced for the first time, adding the designation Distillery” to Rechlerich Farm. May 2021 marked 185 years of legal distilling and Glenfarclas has commemorated the anniversary with a limited-edition whisky. This bottling features casks from six different decades and is very much in the house style which is sherry-heavy. Expect classic sherry richness, plenty of Christmas spices, fruit cake, stewed plums and a hint of chocolate.
