Description
Light straw with intense lime green hues. Bright and subtle varietal fruit with light fine texture and excellent complexities and long acid finish.
The Chardonnay is the most established variety in the Orange region and is noted for its bright elegant styles. It is well suited to the varying altitudes and conditions. This Chardonnay displays an excellent light medium colour with a hint of green and an aroma that is bright with hints of honey. The Architect is not overtly fruity and its time on lees and in old barrels for around 6 months has given a subtle elegant fruit character with fine texture.
"A great wine is a marriage between the vineyard and the winemaker. Our wines have strong, bight elegant varietal fruit character aiming for subtle rather than the ripe fruit character that ages extremely well." - Philip Shaw.
