Description
A perfect example of Pinot Gris. Crisp and fruit driven with flavours of juicy pear, apple and melon.
Pocketwatch Pinot Gris continues the Oatley family history of fine craftsmanship using a number of grape parcels from the Central Ranges of NSW. The creation is a bright, crisp and fruit-driven dry white wine with Pinot Gris' trademark texture and vitality. It is a flavoursome wine tasting of juicy pears, apple and melon.
Pocketwatch wines pay tribute to Bob's great great grandfather James Oatley. One of Australia's early convict settlers, James was a master watch and clock-maker who was soon pardoned by Governor Macquarie, appointed Keeper of the Sydney Town Hall Clock and commissioned to install the still functioning turret clock in the pediment of the Hyde Park Barracks. As part of his remuneration he received a number of land grants from Governor Brisbane, including a 300 acre lot that is now the southern Sydney suburb of Oatley.
