Rich aroma, rounded with dried fruit and complex floral notes. Honey, malt and flowery notes on the palate. Rich figs and dates emerge with a hint of wood smoke. Long and enticing finish with the sweetness of dried fruit and subtle Oloroso nuttiness.
Starting with the silky, fruity spirit from Glenmorangie's giraffe-high stills then steeped in American oak casks. No less than 15 years later, a portion is transferred into Oloroso sherry casks for three additional years. Once 18 years have passed, both are combined to create a warm balance of sweet, floral lushness. Rich marmalade flavours brush against honey and fig, touches of caramelized orange and far-off campfire smoke.
