Crisp and fresh like biting into a fresh green apple. Tight but with a melting acidity that lingers like fresh lemonade. A really lively palate with a solid flick of crisp citrus.
A superbly quaffable wine that smells like walking through a tropical fruit market - pear, stone fruits, guava and kiwifruit. A great acidity gives it a crisp finish, with flavour of citrus and pear on the tongue and an Almost crunchy texture with zingy lemon and lime acidity. Oak use gives it a richer mouth-feel than some of the other citrus-driven versions, this wine is more luscious like fresh cut white pears with a hint of white joobes.
Established in 2004 by Phil Sexton, Innocent Bystander is an independent winery focused on producing flavour-driven wines from carefully selected vineyards in the Yarra Valley, Victoria and beyond. The winery is built around gravity flow principles and designed for small-batch wine making. With each vintage these wines have developed in complexity and texture with a great understanding and use of wild fermentation's and restrained oak handling. Naturally produced wines made without compromise with the objective of each wine being a faithful expression of site and vintage.
